Sergiev Posad is one of the oldest towns of Russia, which was named after saint Sergei Radonezh who established a monastery there. The town has been the seat of the Orthodox Church from ancient times whilst the monastery has collected valuable articles and paintings.

The town is of great importance to Orthodox pilgrims who come here from different parts of the world to honour the relics of Sergius Radonezh. The tour is an excellent way to learn more about the history and culture of Russia and about Orthodox Christianity.

Itinerary:

• 10:00 Pick-up from your hotel in Moscow.
• 10:00-11:30 Transfer to Sergiev Posad, which is located some 72 kilometres from Moscow.
• 11:30-14:00 take a tour of the Sergiev Posad complex and its cathedrals.
• 16:00 Return to your hotel.
