The secret Taganka Bunker-42 is a popular Moscow tour which takes you to see one of the famous Soviet period nuclear bunkers as well as a Moscow’s gem — its metro system.
Itinerary:
- Meet our guide at your hotel reception and take a metro ride to Bunker-42.
- Take a tour inside Bunker-42 and get pictures inside. The bunker was comissioned by Stalin in the 1940s and was fully equipped with everything needed in case of a nuclear attack. During the tour you will be able to stroll through the bunker tunnels, learning about this period of Soviet-Russian history.
- Travel back by metro, visiting some of the oldest stations in Moscow. No expense was spared by the Soviet government to build not only the most efficient but also the most richly decorated metro system of its time.
- Return to your hotel or stay in the city centre to explore on your own.
