Itinerary:
- 09:00-12:00 You will be greeted at Warnemünde port, where your cruise ship docks. Your driver will take you to Berlin, where you will be joined by one of our professional guides
- 12:00-12:30 The tour begins at the regal Charlottenburg Palace where you will meet your guide
- 12:30-13:00 You will then head to the former American sector to visit the famous shopping boulevard of West Berlin, the Kurfürstendamm
- 13:00-14:00 Next up you will drive past the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, a bombed-out church from WWII, on our way to the largest and most luxurious department store in continental Europe, the Kaufhaus des Westens or KaDeWe. Its top two floors are a true foodie paradise with something to satisfy even the most demanding palates.
- 14:00-15:00 For lunch you will have a choice between two of the city’s most acclaimed restaurants. The first option is the 2 Michelin Star restaurant Tim Raue. Tim Raue is Berlin’s most famous chef, who recently became an international celebrity via his appearance on Netflix’s Chef’s Table. His flagship restaurant is featured in the official list of “World’s 50 Best Restaurants”. The second option is the restaurant Kafer. It is a German fine dining restaurant in a most incredible location – the rooftop of the Parliament’s building – the Reichstag. Enjoy the exquisite four-course menu whilst marvelling at one of the best views the city has to offer
- 15:00-15:30 After lunch, you will be treated to a magnificent dessert. To satisfy your sweet tooth we have arranged a chocolate tasting at the finest high-end German chocolatier in Berlin – Rausch. The sampling includes pralines, truffles as well as the finest chocolates from around the world- all handmade locally in Berlin
- 15:30-16:00 At around this time you might be feeling a little thirsty which we will remedy by taking you to a private wine tasting of some wonderful German and European wines
- 16:00-17:00 After the sampling, the tour proceeds up Berlin’s other famous shopping boulevard – Friedrichstrasse — to the renowned Parisian department store — the Gallery Lafayette. Once again you will have some free time to explore the culinary delights of their exquisite French food court or to browse the retail shopping space for gifts
- 17:00-17:30 For the penultimate stop of the tour we will drive you through the art and fashion boutique quarter of the city for one last shopping spree in the Hackescher Markt area
- 17:30-18:00 Before heading back to your ship, however, we still have one last hidden gem to share with you — Werkstatt der Süße. Here is one of the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the former East of the city – Prenzlauer Berg – the patissier Guido Fuhrmann has been lauded nationally and internationally for his delectable dessert creations
