St Petersburg Walking Tours
The magnificent imperial residence of Catherine Palace is a must-see for most visitors coming to St Petersburg. However, not everybody opts for an off the beaten track experience combining the museum tour with a trip to the suburbs by local train.
Itinerary:
Meet your guide at your hotel reception. Your guide will have a sign with the company logo or with your name on it.
You will then head out to Vitebsky Railway Station and take a train to Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin) where Catherine Palace is located. From the station to the palace you can take a bus or walk for around 15 minutes.
In Catherine Palace, your guide will take you on a comprehensive tour of the grand halls including the Amber Room.
After the tour, you can enjoy a walk through the gardens and then travel back to the city by bus or train. Your guide will take you to the nearest metro station in the city and make sure you know how to get back to your hotel.

Catherine Palace is an extremely popular museum so the tour start time may vary depending on ticket availability. In the summer it can be anytime between 9:00 am and 15:00 pm, and in between 9:00 am and 14:00 pm the rest of the year. Please do not make any plans for the same day until you know your tour start time.
It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes.
