The location for Kronstadt fortress was chosen by Peter I himself. During three centuries this famous fort, which became the most powerful one in Europe by the middle of the 19th century, protected St Petersburg from its enemies.
During your Kronstadt tour you will learn about the history of wars which Russia had with Sweden. We will reflect why Peter I chose the location for the fortress where it is, will learn principles of its construction.
