Join our tour to Kronstadt, the unique town-fortress and a naval base on Kotlin island, not far from St Petersburg.

The location for Kronstadt fortress was chosen by Peter I himself. During three centuries this famous fort, which became the most powerful one in Europe by the middle of the 19th century, protected St Petersburg from its enemies.  

During your Kronstadt tour you will learn about the history of wars which Russia had with Sweden. We will reflect why Peter I chose the location for the fortress where it is, will learn principles of its construction. 

Kronstdat tour will start from the visit to fort Konstantin, an engineering miracle. We will walk along the fort’s corridors, will see locations of guns, will climb the fort’s bastions to enjoy sea views. Then, we will have a chance to see the Admiralty walls and learn about its history. We will talk about Ioann of Kronstadt, the popular and famous Russian archpriest, who served in St Andrew’s Cathedral in Kronstadt for more that 50 years.

The final stop of Kronstadt tour is a tour of resurrected Naval Cathedral, the architecture of which combines Byzantium traditions with ideas of modern.
