Join in on a walking tour that uncovers one of the most tragic periods in Russian history. The Siege of Leningrad lasted for 900 days during the Second World War and took millions of lives.
Itinerary:
- 11:00 Meet your guide at your hotel and head to the Museum of the Siege of Leningrad by public transport.
- 11:30-12:30. In the museum, you will see exhibits depicting the tragic fates of many local families who lived in the besieged city. Through photos and various memorabilia, you will learn about the daily life of the city during the war.
- 12:30 – 13:20 Travel by subway and see the metro stations built during the Soviet era.
- 13:30 – 14:00 Walk to Victory Square where an eternal flame burns for victims of the war. There is also a monument and an underground museum where you will learn about the battles and frontlines of the Second World War.
- 14:30 Return to your hotel.
